Java is a computer programming language and computer platform. Is based on object oriented programming concept. We want to Java for playing games,to use the internet,to run mobile phone applications and to use web applications, just to name a five. Software builders use Java for building software.
Java was released by Sun Microsystems in 1995. But Oracle Corporation buys Sun Microsystems in 20 Apr 2009. They pay $7.4 billions for it.
First Sun Microsystems released Java JDK 1.0 on 23 Jan 1996.Latest Java update is JDK 7.0 released on 28 July 2012.
